I really think this song and a large part of the album is Coldplay’s response to the US led wars in Iraq/Afghanistan. There is a lot of imagery in this album that blends war/religion/money. If so, I respect them for making music that has deep meaning as opposed to a lot of music these days. I personally believe that all our nations have been hurt by this conflict, nothing has been right or wrong. Anyways, that’s my 2 cents… I could b totally wrong….
Btw, a lot of people ask for the guitar Chords or Tabs:
My guitar is tuned down 1/2 a step and the chords are D, Esus, A2, F#m
